This weathervane is crafted of 14-gauge solid steel and 3 protective coatings to preserve its beauty. We zinc plate our weathervanes, then bake on an antique copper vein powder coat followed by a clear powder coat. This provides a scratch resistant finish and the appearance of the old-time hammered copper look. We use sealed ball bearings in our windcups to keep them spinning freely with even the slightest breeze.
